French TV was founded in 2001 by Francis Vacher (previously Head of Entertainment of Fremantle France and Director of Magic TV, Patrick Sébastien’s company) as an independent production company specialising in gameshows and features. They are the creators of the international gameshow, « Duel » which has now aired in the USA (two seasons on ABC), in the UK (ITV), France (France 2) and Turkey (Kanal D).

Innovators in the world of interactive television, starting in 2002 with a strand in Yves Calvi's « C dans L'air La Suite » for France 5, they now provide interactive television components for shows as diverse as the « Tour De France », « France 2 Foot », « Sexuality: Your Questions », and « Revu et Corrigé », spanning all genres of television.

David Rosconval joined the company in 2004 (known for his work as Producer on « Let's Make a Deal » and « Price is Right » for Fremantle France and Head of Operations at Tête de Prod - Endemol France).

They began to produce their own entertainment programmes in 2003.
